This is the Glitch page, where we have all the glitches you will ever need! From handheld items to changing genders, there’s bound to be one you’ll want to try. The glitches are split into categories for your convenience (Costumes, Eyes and Facial Hair, Handheld Items, Useful Glitches, and Miscellaneous)!
We appreciate all of the glitches suggested in the comments, but the glitch must follow one of three conditions for it to be put on the page:
- The glitch must be something useful for Poptropica,
- The glitch must be something customizable, or
- The glitch must be given special permission.

Costumes
Baby, Bowling Ball, and Chicken
Mr. Yoshi is a robot on Game Show Island, that makes you wear weird costumes in his Game Show. And here’s how to keep those costumes!
While in Mr. Yoshi’s Game Show, wearing the costume you want (Baby, Chicken, Bowling Ball), press Ctrl + Shift + S and continue with the Game Show. When you’re done you should be able to keep the costume you chose!
Costume Closet
This glitch is useful for Poptropicans who used to have a membership and now it’s expired so they can’t access their closet. Enjoy!
1. Friend “0” (no quotations).
2. Go to his closet.
3. He has your outfits!
~Bendy Flyer
Factory Men
There are two places in the Elf Queen’s Hide-out. They are circled below. Click on the customizer icon, and click on one of the spots! You’ll get a sweet surprise that was never supposed to be there! You’ll get a rare light-up helmet!
Navigator
Back Lot Island glitch: While you’re still acting the scene where you’re The Navigator, do the Ctrl + Shift + S to change your skin and it will let you keep the navigator costume!

Pixel Pig
You will need the ‘8-Bit Birthday Pixel Pig Power’ gold card to be able to perform this glitch.
- Go to Home Island.
- Equip the 8-Bit Birthday Pixel Pig Power gold card from your Inventory.
- Press spacebar at a distance that lets you turn other Poptropicans into pigs.
- Go to your inventory and click on the ‘Customize’ button on a card.
- When customizing the costume, there are two buttons. Click the button with the Poptropican and arrow.
- Pick the character you turned into a pig to customize them (usually uncustomizable).

Trashcan
Go to Spy Island, then go to the Docks, and customize the spy in the trash can. Then you can customize the lid of the trash can!
Eyes and Facial Hair
Afro Eyes
- Do the “Navigator” glitch for Back Lot, as seen above.
- Then, go to your most recent picture in your Photo Album, and customize all of it.
- You will then have Afro Eyes (AKA amazing eyes that switch eye expressions)!
~Taintality
Beard (24 Carrot)
Start the mini-quest of Dr. Hare’s Evil Lair in the Poptropica Store. Go right and jump up to the platform. Jump left and hide behind the carrot crates. Then customize the pointy beard from the minion on the platform above you, when he walks by!
Beard (Lunar Colony)
Outside of Mission Control on Lunar Colony Island, click the guard dog and then immediately click your Friends Profile. Click your first friend and scroll right, so you can’t see them. Then click the customize button and customize your “Dog Beard.”
Beard (Wild West)
Use the Beard Brew on Wild West Island, press Ctrl + Shift + S and go into a new room. Then you should have a nice short beard!
Eye Gender Hack
You know all those accounts where you can have cool eyes you want, but they are boy accounts and you’re a girl (and you wanna stay one)? Well…for instance, if you wanted angry eyes (with eyelashes) do this:
- Log into your Poptropican account.
- Open the Avatar Studio.
- Type in jcwarw49 or any other ASG username (Avatar Studio Glitch; most of them work).
- Go to the Poptropica page and click refresh.
- Without clicking save, go to a SUI (like Home Island, Monster Carnival, etc.).
- Change something your Poptropican is wearing.
- Go to your friends.
- Get out of your friends, then go to the map and go to a non-SUI (like Early Poptropica).
You will now have the eyes of jcwarw69, but with eyelashes and you’re still a girl!
~Spotted Monster
Stubbles
Go to Dr. Hare’s Secret Lab. Go to the guard underneath the one with the pointy hair. You can customize his stubble!

Zombie Eyes
- Log into your Poptropica account.
- Open the Avatar Studio.
- Enter the username ihavesunscreem and then click ‘Load.’
- Refresh Poptropica and you’ll have zombie eyes and sunscreen!

Handheld Items
Customize Handhelds
- Go to someone that has costumes in their closet.
- Customize a handheld that is available.
- Click on the available handheld item and nothing else.
- Press the (X) button on the closet.
- You can now see anyone’s handheld in your Friends list if you wish.

Fan
Go to Game Show Island, turn on the fan, press Ctrl + Shift + S, then go into a room and you should be holding the fan!
Fire Iron and Candle
Go to the Great Hall in Bram’s Castle on Vampire’s Curse Island. Click on either the candle or fire iron and press Ctrl + Shift + S (or turn on a Gold Card effect item, like Torch or Electrifier). Then exit the Great Hall and you will have either the candle or fire iron (if you used a Gold Card effect item from the store, turn it off before exiting)!
Glowstick
Go to Early Poptropica, Poptropica Towers, put on your jet pack, and go down into The Dark Room. Go down the rope (you’re automatically holding a glowstick), take off your jetpack, go back up, and you’ll have a glow stick!
Lantern
Go to New Jersey on Cryptids Island. Ride the motorcycle and get off at the first place you can. Press Ctrl + Shift + S and ride back to the start. Now you should have the lantern!
Ninja Items
Finish your ninja training on Red Dragon Island. While holding your ninja item of choice (Bo staff, Shuriken, Smoke Bomb), press Ctrl + Shift + S, and you should be able to keep the ninja item you chose!
Pickaxe
Go into Dr. Hare’s dream on Super Villain Island, press Ctrl + Shift + S while holding the pickaxe, wake up, and you should still have the pickaxe!
Pitcher of Milk
When on Mystery Train and about to pour the cup of prune juice for Tesla, change your hair (Ctrl + Shift + H). Even though you put it back on the shelf in the game, when you walk out of the room you will be holding a pitcher of milk!
~Cuddly Lion
Torch
Go to the Vikings on Time Tangled Island. Put on the hang glider, go into the cave, take off the hang glider, exit the cave and you should have a torch!
Sunscreen
- Log into your Poptropica account.
- Open the Avatar Studio.
- Enter the username ihavesunscreem and then click ‘Load.’
- Refresh Poptropica and you’ll have zombie eyes and sunscreen!

24 Carrot Keycards
- Complete Super Power Island.
- Open Doctor Hare’s Secret Lab (while on Super Power Island).
- You can fly and easily collect all three keycards!
~Small Fire
Changing Gender
- Log into a boy Poptropica account.
- Open the Avatar Studio.
- Type in either rare9 or metalgirl.
- Go to the Poptropica page and click refresh.
- Your boy will now look exactly like rare9 or metalgirl and will be a girl now!
~Spotted Monster
- Log into a girl Poptropica account.
- Open a new tab and go to the Avatar Studio.
- Type in the username Kaithsammut1,5, Keithsammut8, or Keithsammut19.
- Go to Poptropica page and refresh the page. If something comes up, click continue.
~Spotted Monster
Flying
First, you need the Back Lot Island Clapboard. Put it on. Next, jump, while keeping the cursor above your Poptropican and don’t let go of the left mouse button. Keep doing it, but use your other hand to press the spacebar while still in midair, and you will jump while in midair! This may take a few tries, but it works! If you keep pushing the spacebar, you’ll eventually reach the sky! Apparently, in Poptropica, the sky has a limit. 😉

Flying on SUI’s
First, buy either the Fierce Lion costume or the Baseball Fielder costume. Equip the baseball or mouse from either costume, then go to an SUI island. Use the ability by pressing spacebar just before running off a building and you will fly until the ability is over. To fly upward, jump in a way where you will spin in the air on an SUI island, then press spacebar rapidly after you fall on the ground. It should look like you are somersaulting. Eventually, you will fly up fast, and you will stay up there until you stop pressing spacebar.
Reality T.V. Votes
If you press reload before the game on Reality T.V., or in between the games in Reality T.V., then you will go straight away to the voting and will not have to play the games and challenges.

Twisted Thicket Amulet
After you finish the island, Twisted Thicket, keep the amulet on. Restart the island and you get to use the amulet throughout the island!

Zooming
This only works on non-updated islands. To zoom in, scroll with your mouse and push Ctrl at the same time. It helps you see farther than normal! Also, you can scroll out (for those computers that have a wide screen). You could also push Ctrl and the + sign to zoom in or the Ctrl and – sign to zoom out.
Miscellaneous
Friend a Clone
You need a sibling or a friend with you. You and the other person log on to the same user (on different computers) and then go to the same island (such as Home Island) and both go to the Common Room at the same time. You can chat, battle, and friend your exact clone! Once you or the other one exits the game, you will no longer have the clone.

Friend an NPC
On Spy Island, once you have gotten the Invisible Suit, go to the rooftops with the suit on. Get close to the B.A.D agent once he has stopped, without overlapping. Click on him and the Friend, Battle, and Chat bubbles will pop up. Click on a friend and you will friend someone called “Maroon Rider.” It says she has no photos, but she actually has all of your photos.

To help, we’ll first need to know what island you’re on since there are multiple with jail sequences; maybe there is something that was missed. Also, you can try switching browsers to see if that helps.
When I go on Monkey Wrench Island, and it says to open my menu to use the wrench, my menu isn’t on the screen, the screen is just shaded, along with the words “First, open your menu.” Also, my screen seems to be zoomed in, but whenever I hold Ctrl and the _ button, nothing happened. Please reply asap.
If you’re using Chrome, you could click the 3 lines and try zooming out that way. Logging out and back in could also fix the screen issue, but if it doesn’t, you can always contact Poptropica.

Not sure if this is actually considered a glitch, but it is very useful. On your Friends page, if your pages (from the Pop Quizzes) won’t load, go to a friends page and go back a little ways, then go back to your page and go back. You’ll need to do this one time for each page you want to go back.
I wouldn’t exactly consider it a glitch, but it is really helpful!

how do hold prune juice?
You can’t hold the actual prune juice, but you can hold a pitcher of milk:

this is a newer one, get the 8 bit pig power and go to home island and use it on anyone there and go to store costumes and choose any costumes and choose costumize then choose the person thats a pig costumize them and you should be a pig

Oh! I know what they’re talking about, but the wording is a little weird… So basically:
Go in a common room, get the 8-bit birthday card thing that makes you hold a cake and when you press spacebar, ppl turn into pigs…
Go to Home Island
Equip the card
press spacebar & turn them into pigs
then go to your inventory, click on a costume (on the side with the costume, there are two buttons. one shows what you can customize from the costume. CLICK THE OTHER ONE. then it says something like pick a character to customize. click on someone and customize their pig outfit (usually uncustomizable)

oh.. in your comment it says jcwarw69, but you probably read it wrong… but I meant jcwarw49 (forty nine) which has angry eyes (I misread things all the time lol) and it also works with any asg basically 🙂 for instance, if you wanted zombie eyes you could use the asg I found it with which is mashmandummy13 I think…

Hmm.. I’m assuming you’ve already tried logging in and back out. What about a different browser? Or, if you’re on a new island, can you try using the Blimp button?
On mocktropica after i defeat the villains, the tester says he would create a new game and then everything sorta freezes but we still blink but no one moves and i am stuck with the loading cursor. so i can’t play poptropica cuz i can’t press the blimp and i already tried logging out and back ib. Can you please help me????

That means you probably accidently changed your gender to a boy! Just follow our Gender Glitch guide to make yourself a girl again. 😉

I have 2 glitches on Spy Island which requires the grappling bow tie.
Go to your inventory and equip the grappling bow tie.
Climb the Spy Island HQ and run to the wires right of the HQ.
Jump on the wires. While your character is jumping, click on the bow tie on the bottom left of the screen and click below your character. Make sure the bow tie hits the sidewalk. This takes several tries.
Your character will be under the ground, with the wire under his/her feet.
Oh- and I have another one. Pressed the “post comment” button accidently, sorry.
Go to your inventory and equip the grappling bow tie.
Climb the headquarters, jump on the wire attached to the HQ on the right, and climb this ledge in which there is a Non-player character that warns you: “Careful, it’s a long way down!”
Now go to the very end of the ledge on the right, and click on the bow tie in the bottom left of your screen. Click below the ledge you are standing on, and make sure the bow tie hits the green sign.
Your character should be under the ground.

if you complete nabooti island and jump up to where the totem used to be, you will float on midair.
sorry but just one more. im not sure you would consider this a glitch though.
1. go to Early Poptropica Island
2. go left, to poptropica towers
3. jump on the green building left of the pigment guy
4. jump up the middle row of windows until you get to a window with a orange flower
5. click on the top left panel of that window
6. you will get a members-only hypnotic costume that non-members can also customize!
We already have that on our “Easter Egg” page. 🙂
ok another one:
1. go to mythology island and complete it
2. you will notice that you can switch between being a “god” and being a poptropican by pressing the space bar( if you have the crown AND scepter on)
3. switch to either of the states( giant and glowing or small and normal)
4. press the space bar 2 times( only 2)
5. you will now be a normal giant or a glowing poptropican!( you can do this on other islands, if you have both items on your character)
~Invisible Wolf/ Giant Monster
River Styx:
1. go Mythology Island
2. complete the island or go up to the point when you can access Hades’ and Poseiden’s temples
3. go to poseiden’s temple( don’t go in ) and go all the way to the right
4. you will drop down
5. there are two different things that can happen, you could end up
standing in midair( jump up and try again ) or you will be down in the river styx!
P.S. to get out you either go to the map and enter the island again or use your mirror to get out. I am saying this because there are no other ways to get out, even though you can see hades’ temple if you go left

That’s really cool! 😀 But it’s not exactly what we’re looking for. We’re looking for things that can help you complete an island, give you something to customize, etc. I’m sure you have plenty of other ideas, though!

Try unzooming by scrolling your mouse backwards and pressing the Ctrl key.

I’m assuming your using Google Chrome? If you are, you can either click the three lines in the top right corner and click the – button next to “Zoom,” or you can press Ctrl + scroll your mouse’s wheel backwards. Hope this helped! :]
or do ctrl – (minus sign) to zoom out

I’m not sure if this is a glitch or just my computer. Sometimes when I try to jump once, my character will keep jumping and when I move the mouse it just jumps and follows even though I’m not clicking. It’s very frustrating in some parts because it causes me to fall off of things or run into things that I’m trying to stay away from.
If the arrow is pointing towards a little upwards, it will make your character jump, even if you’re holding the mouse down and not clicking. These are just Poptropica’s controls! They’re a bit odd, but you’ll get used to them. 🙂
On 24 carrot island when you drink the hair changing drink then press Ctrl Alt H then Ctrl Shift H and then you can keep the cup with a black drink in it

You can do the glitch ross1dog and it will turn you into a boy (last time I checked. Hope this helps).

um… there are tons of usernames for this, like any dummy, or former dummies, and Keithsammut1.5 Keithsammut8 and Keithsammut19 and such.
1 log into your poptropica account
2 open a new tab and go to the avatar studio
3 type in a username of a dummy, former dummy, or one of the usernames listed above 1
4 go to poptropica page and refresh is something comes up click continue

You use ASG(can be purchased in Poptropica Store, the one in Home Island) to change genders and look awesome! KeithSammut and any boy username is acessible for ASG, but you can also turn back into a girl! Macandcheese520 and any girl username is accessible.

On wild west, above and to the right of the casino sign, you can pull a lever next to a spinning-thing. if you get all the hot peppers to line up at the end, hot peppers rain down on you!

when I went to poptropolis games, I tried to get ahead of the announcer when he asked me if I was ready, and my poptropican froze and the loading sign shows up every time my mouse moves over the screen

I have a glitch.
1.Do the navigator costume glitch for backlot.
2.THEN…go to your most latest picture and and costumize all of it.
3.You will then have the afro eyes(AKA amazing eyes that switch eyes expressions).

The gender glitch only worked when I turned my girl account into a boy and then back to a girl again. (Thanks so much for the glitch!!) But when I try to turn my boy into a girl, it does, but it says to save the game to make a new account..
?? that never happened to me… O.o weird… I have a list of username to make it a boy, but I’m trying to find more usernames for girls…. That’s weird..

Hiyao ! There’s a glitch in Red Dragon island. It called no legs glitch. Just copy black Pants from Yokozuna (Sumo player)

UH…. i was going to Mission Atlantis, I went to this tab, then back, and now I’m on 24 carrot
There’s at glitch that I don’t want. There are some islands that are colored and they load differently(letters spelling Poptropica drop from the top of the screen rather than the spool that is spinning) if you’ve noticed but whenever I go to any of those islands it never loads. Does anybody know why?
Have you tried changing your browser? Sometimes a browser may not work on the new islands.
yaay my glitch is here. Also, it only changes the gender if it is a boy. (if it is a girl, it stays a girl)

I have a glitch…click on the poptropican go to the friends page click on your 1st friend your not seeing your 1st friend now click on your costumizer and now you can wear the poptropican’s outfit,
Closed Eyes and No Mouth Cheat
1.login to poptropica
2. Open a other Tab
3. go to avatar Studio and type KeithSammut19
4.Load it
5.Refesh the poptropica Tab say cancel
6.TADA u will have closed eyes and no mouth and some rare stuff

Hey, I have a glitch! I don’t know if it still works, but you could try. (NOTE: This doesn’t really help you complete the island.)
1. Use the scroll on your mouse to scroll up. While scrolling, press the Ctrl button. You should have part of the screen on the blue side of the site.
2. Click something like “Go left, go right, or go up”.
3. After it loads, you should see the games for battling on the side or the screen.
(ANOTHER NOTE: DO NOT USE THIS GLITCH ON ONE OF THE COLORED ISLANDS.)

Also, you might see two white squares.
Again, it’s just what happens when you zoom. It’s not a glitch, that happens on all OFI’s…. You can’t do anything to them. An the white squares are just save buttons taken off, because it’s not made to show those
