A lot has happened on Poptropica since our last update. The spookiness of Halloween has ended, but Thanksgiving is next! And then, of course, some awesome winter holidays. 😉 As for Mashup Mondays, there will be a post this Monday, so keep an eye out! I probably won’t be able to keep up a steady flow of them, but I’ll try. I also have some other surprises up my sleeve… Anyway, let’s get on to the post!

Islands of the Month

It’s a new month, which means new Islands of the Month (IOTM)! This time, the islands of the month are… Shrink Ray and Poptropolis Games! If you want handy-dandy written guides, just click those links. Otherwise, you can always watch Captain Crawfish’s video walkthroughs:

Remember that if it’s your first time completing them, you get 500 credits! If you’ve played them before, you get 300! Those will add up, especially for all the fall outfits they’ve been releasing…

Pets and Costumes

Even though Halloween is over, there are still some very Halloweeny costumes in the Store, so get them before they’re gone! One of the additions has also been pet followers, like cats and dogs! I can’t wait to see what other pets they add in the future. The cat and dog each come in 3 different breeds/styles. There are also some variations in the costumes based on your gender:

I think the first one is a pug at least, and the last cat is a calico cat. Hmm… Also, there are some Halloween accessories! Since they are just handheld items, I decided not to take a whole picture of the card:

Sadly, some of these costumes are for members only, including the wolf costume, the Jack & Jill costumes, and the pet packs.

Drawing & More

Even though the video was made in 2014, if you have ever had problems drawing a Poptropica head, Jon Pitcher made a useful video on making sketches of them:

Also, Poptropica released a wallpaper you can use for the fall! If you have been playing Poptropica for awhile, you would know that this wallpaper is from Zomberry. It used to be a little minigame! Just click the image to see a larger version and download it for yourself.

While we’re on the subject of spookiness, Poptropica had another photo booth contest with the hashtag #PoptropicaFun. The winners on Twitter included @unhurted083, @mrmontana64, and @MWare55. On Instagram, the winner was happyclonetrooper. Each one was chosen randomly for a free 1-month membership! Congrats everyone!
