When I was kid, I played a game called Poptropico… or something like that.
I have a lot of memories and evidence of my young Poptropica fandom. I’ll tell you the story of my name some other time, but for now, I want to ramble about my crazy Poptropica obsession.
You see, I couldn’t just be normal with this stuff. I was a non-social homeschooled kid, so obviously I had to have an outlet somewhere. The “O” in Pop seemed to be the right shape for my creative cord. That cord would shock anyone who got near it.
If I would ever get into any conversation with anyone, it would always end up on Poptropica. But that’s before I discovered
Word. I was obsessed. Inspired by the early PHB, I typed up never to be released posts, talking about new islands, or reviews, and on and on. I then started to print them. This is one of the reasons why my mom won’t let me around ink cartridges any more.
I have about 20+ of these little articles. I have three copies of each, and so you connect the dots. I stored them in a box until I discovered them once again about a year ago. This sparked a memory of me wanting to blog.
But we’re getting ahead of ourselves. We still have to tell about my little endeavors. If you look close enough at ancient PHB posts, I’m in there. My screen name was Puterpop (before the “H” was added O.O), and I had a big mouth. I made predictions about new islands, and a lot of times I was right.
I was one of the peezles that had Fishy all confused. I thought that Scary Tomato was a boy, and Juyo was a boy, and now that I think of it, I’m still confused about how confused I was. 😛
But there’s one thing we are missing from the picture. I used to create reviews, and predictions. I used to yell my opinion, whether anyone listened or not. So I’m living my little dream now. It’s pretty pathetic, but it’s all I got. 🙂
